Farm Based Programs

Immersive recreational and therapeutic programs held on a small farm.

Get yourself or your loved one involved in growing!

Being involved in all steps of a garden motivates and connects individuals. Gardening and working with plants has been shown to lower anxiety levels, increase attentiveness and memory, reduce stress and improve mood, spark creativity, and improve physical health and strength. There are many skills that can be honed in the supportive accessible walkways of our farm gardens. Our programs also emphasize positive social interaction, engagement, and inclusion, promoting a sense of community.

Enjoy the sun, fresh air, and the many benefits of working on a farm, adapted to each person that visits.

The Farm Based programs are held on a working small farm and can be utilized to help improve general wellness in it's participants. Programs could include working towards goals of improving self esteem and mood, improved memory and cognitive ability, language skills, improved coordination, improved self care, and more. Any number of personal or group goals can be addressed through the program as it can be adapted based on participants needs and interests.

Bloom Where Planted’s Farm Based Programs involve hands on activities working on a farm directly with plants, flowers, herbs, and soil. Participants spend time in the garden learning about and connecting to nature and growing with the plants around them. Participants are ensured they are able to participate to the best of their ability and interest through adaptive tools, activities, and instructions.

Programs meet every week for one hour for 4 weeks. One time programs are also available. We serve neurodiverse folks and those with disabilities as well as their families, and anyone interested in boosting their mental and physical health.
