Amy Lopez is passionate about bringing plants and nature to people who cannot easily access it. She has more than five years experience working professionally with different and diverse populations of people therapeutically using nature, animals, and plants. She has training in Therapeutic Horticulture and is a Certified Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor. She also has completed training as a naturalist and has several years experience as an environmental educator for school age children in a park setting, as well as several years of agricultural experience on produce and flower farms. Amy created and facilitated a therapeutic garden program and giving-garden on an 81 acre non-profit farm in CT. Seeing a need for a more mobile and accessible program that could be just as beneficial to participants as being on the farm, Amy created Bloom Where Planted in May of 2023 and now travels throughout Connecticut working with people and plants in therapeutic and recreational programs.
